Charlie Jones grew up painting with oils from the age of eight, guided and inspired by his mother, a talented designer and drawing tutor. Hours spent sitting in galleries—captivated by the works of the Impressionists, as well as masters like Rembrandt and Turner—shaped his early understanding of art. From that time, he knew he was destined to be an artist. While he later studied painting at Nottingham Trent University, it was those formative years of learning and discovery that left the deepest impression on his practice.
Charlie has exhibited in a wide range of collective exhibitions across the globe, including Discerning Eye at the London Mall Galleries, and has held solo exhibitions in Cali, Colombia, as well as further showings in London and the United States. He has completed numerous significant commissions for clients worldwide, including in London, Dubai, and beyond. Most recently, he completed an important portrait commission for The London Clinic private hospital in Marylebone, London.
His body of work spans portraits, figurative compositions, and landscapes. Deeply inspired by humanity’s place within the power of Mother Nature, Charlie’s paintings explore themes of migration, unity, and resilience. Through his art, he seeks to create a positive reflection of human existence in an often tumultuous time.
